Fujian textile and garment export increased 17% under adverse

Textiles are the province's second largest after the mechanical and electrical products exports, in the first 7 months, our province textile and garment export up to 4.97 billion U.S. dollars, up 17.7% surge contrarian. According to Fuzhou Customs statistics, in July month, the province textile and clothing exports reached 990 million U.S. dollars, up 22.3%, growth of 21.6%. This performance was better than average for all industries. At present foreign trade is still in negative growth stage, the province in July import and export value was still down 7.5% year on year, with exports down 6.3%.
It is understood that our province mainly in textile and garment exports of general trade mode, in the first 7 months of general trade export value of 4.28 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 22.8%, accounting for the same period in our province's total exports of textiles and clothing 86.1%. The private sector to become the main force of export growth in the first 7 months of private enterprises in our province exported 2.97 billion U.S. dollars of textile garments, an increase of 36.1%, accounting for 59.7% of total exports over the same period.
The EU's largest export destination, the first 7 months, the province of the textile and apparel exports to the EU 1.41 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 24.7%; for African exports 440 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 53%; for U.S. exports 420 million U.S. dollars, up 10.1%; of Hong Kong's exports 370 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 33%.
